Servicing and maintaining four key moorings, conducting repeated stations, and testing real-time CTD data transmission. The mooring servicing will ensure continuous data collection for long-term studies, with specific attention to the Corsica and Sicily Channels, and western Ionian. These moorings are part of international programs providing valuable data on water mass dynamics and biogeochemical processes. Repeated CTD casts will measure salinity, temperature, and biogeochemical EOVs at various stations, contributing to the Med-SHIP program and enhancing our understanding of water mass properties and climate change impacts. Real-time CTD data transmission will be tested using protocols developed within the EuroGO-SHIP project, ensuring NRT data availability for immediate analysis.
